I’ve been looking into whether or not it’s possible to fit the newer style instrument cluster with the larger central display into the previous year which has the half height display. I’ve checked and the plugs on the back are identical but before I go and buy one I wondered if anyone has ever actually tried this ?

I’m not too concerned about coding the newer cluster at this time as that’s something I can do if it does actually power up.

I think one issue may be that the newer clusters screen features are controlled by the newer style steering wheel? However if the cluster will work and at least just display fuel and temp in the centre then I’d actually be ok with that for now.
