Did anyone else from the forum pop-along to this? While Alana and I were camping down near to the New Forest, we thought it would be rude not to go along for the 2nd year running. Although it started off a bit wet, the weather soon got it's act together and blessed us all with some blue skies and while clouds.

I went along for the first time. It was brilliant to see such a great collection of Landys and a good Freelander turnout. We took my standard (not modified, except for AT tyres) on the off-road trail and I was once again pleasantly surprised how well the Freelander performed against all the modified Defenders and Discoverys. -------------------------------------------------------------

I've been hearing stories that apparently the Freelanders were handling the course better than the new swanky cars that were leading everyone around that were struggling for grip in places. https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4 |

The organisers cheekily put the Freelanders at the back expecting them to get stuck and every so often I would be asked if I wanted to 'go the easy route', which I of course scoffed at! The only slight issue I had was ground clearance, but I never once lost traction. I had similar experience with my Freelander 1. Very capable vehicles. -------------------------------------------------------------

We were around your stand a few times with Alana waving the GoPro around. Excluding Scott in the blur, you're not one of these three?

Ah gotcha. Maybe next year we will bump into you. Your stand is always very nicely turned out and it was great to see a few Freelanders on it. Hopefully next year we can get the sun that we had without the heavy rain. We decided to take a walk around the museum and a sit on the monorail while it passed over. https://www.youtube.com/@scottandalana4x4 |
