United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Santorini Black
Fitting an Android Head Unit

Hi, I have a 2008 XS that does not have a screen fitted. I am hoping to fit a unit but would like some advice. It has a standard radio/CD unit, I was wondering if there is a lead/connector already fitted. Also a connector that I can wire up to then attach the head unit to the car?

I'm at present looking into this one.

(I've had a lot of questions for them as I want to run it without being dependant on my phone.)

The only stipulation they make is that your radio has an AUX button, as it uses that input to the original radio for the sound output.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Rimini Red

As long as you understand that the factory audio system is integrated into several vehicle systems, which makes removing it loose other vehicle functions, the reverse sensors is the first thing that stops working, another is the RTC on the Ipack, so time based service functions stop working, as does the time on the LCD, if it's so equipped.
An XS will have the 9 speaker system, so you'll loose the sound from the amplifier, unless you rewire the whole speaker system, and get another amplifier for the subwoofer in the boot. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The replacement for the SE.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Almost sold.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
