Did I read somewhere that the car should be double locked rather than a single ping otherwise slow discharge takes place. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Ooh, that could be useful.

Unsurprisingly I checked the handbook and found nothing.

But then there's nothing about the boot light either and I had no idea there was a manual gear shift option and that's not explained in the handbook either.

It's like being given a horse with the saddle on the wrong way round and trying to work out how to ride it.

I think you’ll find page 7 of your handbook talks about double locking. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Page 7 does indeed describe double locking.

But it doesn't describe the behaviour, benefit or impact of double locking or single locking on hibernate mode or battery drain.

As far as I can tell nothing in the handbook even mentions this behaviour let alone all the permutations that might affect it.

If you can just point me to the page in the handbook that explains it all that would be great because my first instinct was not to read the handbook at all.
