Ok, so this is an annoying one. I bought my 64 plate SD4 SE just over a year ago. It had had all services done with LR and had the timing belt done at the year 7 service, as per the service schedule. I had initially been led to believe the water pump had been done alongside the belt, but on closer inspection of the part number (after purchasing the car), it turns out it was the belt only and not the belt and pump kit. In fairness to the garage, the pump isn't part of the service list so I didn't think much of it.

While it was getting it serviced, I had the autobox and haldex fluids changed.

It is due the 120 month service in July so I've been getting quotes from the 2 garages I use. The first quote from a non-LR specialist is using an older service list which includes belt, pump, haldex/diff and autobox fluids and all the other normal stuff. I have attached a screenshot of the quote, as well as one of the official service schedule from LR OSH.

The other LR Independent hasn't got back to me yet.

My issue is, the first quote doesn't follow the LR schedule - they have since removed the pump/belt so cost has reduced significantly, but the autobox and haldex fluids are still there (which is fine). But as I had both of these done last year, is there any point in them being done again? Might I be better using the same cost to get belt and pump done instead?

Should I get the full LR schedule done and just have the fluids done again?

Hadn't really considered this being an issue when I got the work done last year when I had the money to spend on it!

Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎

No point in having items replaced or serviced if they're not due. As the timing belt was done at 7 years, there's no point in having it replaced 4 years early. If the Haldex fand box fluids were replaced last year, there's no point in doing those again this year.

The rest is just simple DIY stuff, so save the money and do the rest yourself. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The replacement for the SE.

The mark up on those filters and timing belt kit is disgusting.
You can buy genuine filters for £70!

There's no fuel filter replacement on there as well, which would probably be even more shocking!
