Just need to correct your statement. The roof bars are defintely compatible with the sunroof versons of FL2. You need to question whoever told you that they were not!! |

I am also waiting for some rails and have been since January. I saw the Ebay posting so went off to my dealer last week and told him about it. He advised that LR have now come up with 2 part numbers, 1 for sunroof models (which mine is) and the other for non sunroofs. He still could not give a delivery date, which quite frankly is getting a pain in the neck as I want to use them for my summer holiday. |

My dealer has said the sunroof versions will be out, but no date yet, waffled on about them causing excessive wind noise, so are having to be redesigned. |

Just been down the A1 at 70mph for 50 miles and no discernable wind noise over and above the usual. Given that the rails fit on the black plastic roof trims(see photos0 I can't see why they wouldn't fit the sunroof model |

I would be more concerned with the noise from the following police car at 100 and the pain of subsequent loss of licence......... |

It's still the offical Land Rover line - that these roof rails are not compatible with the sunroof. I've had 4 dealers confirm that to me, straight from LR's literature. |

not when you drive on the Autobahn at least once a week as I do.... by the way noise starts at 60 with a soft whistle and slowly turns into a low key humming as I pick up more speed. |

I hadn't realised until I saw Tandemmans pictures that the the rails had a fixed cross brace to them. That probably explains the possible wind noise issue. I would have thought that they would have been strong enough on their own without the bracing, as that would be provided when the detachable roof bars are fitted, ie when you actually need to use them for something. |

Actually it is the fixed crossbar that reduces the wind noise it is aerofoil in profile with 4 anti turbulance spoilers underneath. If you install it upside down(very easy to do) or if the mini spoilers underneath are missing then you get wind noise. you also get less rain on your rear screen when you have the rails on. |

Thats interesting, although having looked again at Lr's website, the roofrails shown only show the front-rear rails, I guess I will just have to carry on badgering the dealer. thanks for the info. |
