Rowy, I regularly see HST kitted F2's between Lancaster and Carlisle - on Monday one came up behind my RRS TDv8, tucked in behind for a mile and wasn't happy that I was cruising at 75 on my cruise control, pulled out and overtook in a cloud of black tractor juice fumes! Colour was Stornoway. You would know it was my RRS by it's special exhausts, HST front grille, Audi-esque LEDs in the headlamps and probably more by it number plate.... Just coz it says FA57 RRS on the plate doesn't mean it will be driven like a manic thing, when you are doing a 500 mile run all this 80-120mph stuff is no fun and at least at 70-75 I know I won't get done for speeding, also I get 32-35mpg out of the Tdv8 when it is locked into cruise at that speed, which drops to 26-28 when I play racing cars! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

I like the RRS. I don't understand FL2's racing them as they're a tad intimidating on the open road. I can also feel my little FL2 shaking as they overtake. I agree re the comments about FL2 HST drivers - they all do the same to me too - I guess they're so much faster than my XS - NOT WS Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass |
