United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey
[For Sale] 2012 Freelander 2 SE for sale

Ad ref - 240526-986

Owned by myself for the past 10 years and reluctant sale but children now too large to fit in the back so have had to get a Disco.

2012 Freelander 2 SE facelift in Orkney Grey. I am the second owner, I bought it from Land Rover main dealer (Newport Pagnell) with 50k miles on it in 2014.
Mileage is now 171,000 however this is genuinely mostly motorway miles (including many trips to France and Germany). It has been serviced regularly and well maintained as it is essential for me to have a reliable vehicle as it was mostly used for work trips to see clients.
To this end the following has been done / available:
- Replacement rear diff (Aylmer Land Rover specialist)
- Replacement PTU (Bell Engineering)
- Front driveshafts
- bearings
- Recent trackrod ends and rear drop links (noted as advisories recent MOT and now done)
- Recent full service (April)
- MOT to Feb 2025
- New silicon turbo hoses
- 4 x Michelin cross climate tyres - over 70% tread remaining
- bootlid struts replaced
- Full set of Land Rover rubber mats and carpet mats (not used)
Drives very well and is a comfortable, well looked after vehicle. There are a few small scratches and dinks but nothing serious.

Vehicle is located in St Albans available for vewing most evenings and weekends.

£4,500 or near offer

Loads more pictures and info available on request

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver

How big are your kids if they don't fit in a Freelander Shocked Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

The problem is having 3 of them - all teenagers....
We've been skiing in every year (except 2021) with no issue until last year when legs are now too long to be comfortable in the middle back seat

To update on the previous post will take offers of around £4,000.

Will be very sad to see this go. Having got the Discovery 5 4 weeks ago and driving both I still prefer the freelander, however space means it has to find a new home

Matt,
I'll send you a PM with a link to loads more pictures. I'm looking for the other receipts for work done over the years but can't find them at the minute, to confirm a lot has been done including:
Timing chain / tensioners / water pump (around the 100k miles mark)
New turbo intercooler 2022
Rear diff / PTU
Front bearings
Service in March/April was a full service including all MOT advisories (drop links and track rod ends replaced), all turbo hoses renewed with silicon - total of £800 of work.
Genuinely upset to be selling this car - having been driving it and in many ways I still prefer it to the disco 5. Have found the spare key / fob (brand new, never used) and the handbook / manuals in original folder.

little jimmy - well spotted. It's a Lotus Eclat Series 1. It doesn't get out of the garage as much as I'd like but it's a great little car and a good contrast to the LR2
