United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
VED shock

Looking at options to replace Mrs Avtur's wheels.

Found a VW Polo, 1.4E Automatic, very low miles, good service history etc.etc. I asked the dealer what the VED was, he hesitated and said he thought it was about £150, decided to go away and check for myself.

What a shock, its the same band as my FL2 (band J), which means the current price is £215 a year going up to £235 next year .... for a poxy !.4 petrol !!!!!

While searching around I noticed that there are two bands quoted for MY10 FL2's, both are for manual cars but different power output, they are ...

112kw at 179 grms co2, band I £175 and
118kw at 194 grms co2, band J £215

Is the band I vehicle the stop/start (or 'e') version? Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.

Yes, stop/start drops a band, which is great because you can turn it off, so lower tax without the annoying stop/start if you don't want it.
