Living with the FL2 Si4

I am thinking of buying FL2 Si4, but a bit concerned about the engine in the Si4 being first generation Ford 2.0l ecoboost, and the possible head/block failures, low pressure fuel pump failures, walnut blasting to stop carbon build up and in some cases the timing chains replacement at 60k miles, has anyone with the Si4 experienced these issues, also I have looked on the RR Evoque site for similar info
thanks

I have the Si4, great engine, never had any issues. The only thing is it is a thirsty engine in city traffic, about 17L/100km. Basically because the car is so heavy. I always put RON98 in it, the longer range pays for the higher fuel cost.

RON91 fuel down under is crap.

My sister has an oil burner Evoque, the Si4 Freelander is much more refined.

If worried about fuel costs get a lighter car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

thanks Lightwater,
I've had the i6 Freelander but wanted to try the Si4 version, but the info on the web says the Mk1 ecoboost had problems that were resolved after 2015 with the revised engine, and as the i6 was very dependable engine I was concerned the early 2.0l might be a money pit

the only Si4 FL2 you will find in this country (UK) will be ''unexported'' export cars or import cars as the 2.0 petrol was not offered to the UK market.

it was available in UK spec DS and Evoque but are very very rare
