Got an email from what is now Howden Insurance yesterday to let me know my insurance is due for renewal (it expires on the 25/3). 10 out of 10 to them for giving customers the maximum time in order to sort it. Phoned up the Thatcham branch and I believe I got through to George. I added a couple of modifications to the policy and from reading other peoples renewals I was expecting a minimum hike of £250+ to the policy. But George surprised me by telling me it had gone from £619 last year to £689 this year. Given the current climate that we are in, I'd take that small increase.

My excess was, and still is £250. That's £0 voluntary and £250 compulsory. |
