Navi screen uninstall / android install issues

I am trying to install a Chinese android head unit (the kind that uses the aux in line of the factory radio)in my 2012 HSE with factory alpine single disc.

I was initially able to get it working by leaving the factory Navi screen fully connected. The Android unit powered up, played music etc. Now nothing works even when reverting back to factory setup. The screen keeps flashing and the DVD player is constantly making a disc loading/ejecting noise. I have tried bypass loops in both locations and nothing changes - still flashing and ejecting. It seems the factory system is not fully starting up for some reason.

I could really use some help sorting this out as I thought the bypass loops would resolve the issue.

Thanks for your input and here's a quick video of the problem.

A diagnostic read on the infotainment system is the only easy way to identify the issue. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Dodge,

Is that something that can be done with a universal obd2 scanner or does it have to be the dealership? I have a cheapo Bluetooth scanner or I could go to a local auto parts retailer.

I believe so. Or the Icarsoft LR diagnostic readers. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
