Yes, its interesting.
I took my EGR cooler and valve off without removing the common rail or PCV. I did remove the ECU to give more room.
Without being able to see the EGR vey well, it was rather awkward and I used a mirror to see where the bolts etc were. I had to lie on top of the engine in order to work behind it.

I never thought to remove the common rail or PCV which clearly gives much greater access  Jules

Removing the fuel rail comes with an element of risk, dirt can enter the fuel system, damaging injectors, and all solid lines are use once items anyway, so can leak if reused.
Best do the job from behind without worries of messing up the injection system. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

I noticed he had a pierburg 7.00578.12.0 egr valve, what would be a good cooler brand, I cant seem to find a pierburg one.

depends your model year... but this was the one for my 07 TD4

I'm a 07 td4 as well, i'm finding it hard to find the exact part on mister-auto, auto doc, micks garage etc.

I was hoping to get the equilivant ford / Volvo part but it seems to be slightly different maybe. I found a pierburg 7.24809.90.0 that is the egr and cooler combined for €364.90, mister auto lists all the other manufacturers but not land rover, its an odd one.
