Looking at the companies that you quote, both seem to up the torque considerably. Although they say that the original components are strong enough, I cannot see any manufacturing information given.

Alive are very experienced in tuning LR and definitely know what they are doing. The work they can do with standard or modified D2 or TD5/Puma defenders is quite astonishing. I had my D4 remapped by them from 255bhp to around 310bhp and 600nm, but as the D4 and RRS of that era both use the exact same engines and transmission and the RRS coming from factory with 310bhp it was safe. (n.b. I have no connection with alive in any way)

The reason for remapping will be to try and improve fuel consumption, I currently get 13l/100kms, and I find this high, if anyone has done a remap and seen improvement, I would like to hear about it , newbie here , so if I have posted on the wrong forum, my apologies |
