United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red
Electric adjust seats

Hello there, so my 2012 facelift GS has manually adjusted heated leather seats to which I'd really like to add an armrest. From what I can gather this isn't easy as the seat frame has an extra welded on bracket, so a change of seat from a breakers is required. Most of the seats I see advertised are both heated and electrically adjusted. Is adding the electric adjust do-able? Presumably need re-programming somehow, assuming the wiring is there? Thanks

It's been done. There's likely requiring and definitely programming to do. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Have you tried searching for electric seats as there seems to be quite a few posts.

Amongst these are posts covering parts in detail.

Yes I've tried searching. Plenty of posts about the difficulties of trying to add heated seats (which I already have), nothing that I can see about adding electric adjust seats. I'm going to assume for now that the wiring is there (I can't actually check atm as I'm working away from home) but how or what do I use to program the functions in?
