I use Castrol Ede Ti in my i6 SE 2007, and I also use the equivalent one in my Corrado G60 and my Lotus Esprit. I spoke to Castrol UK technical department for hours on the matter, also about the content of various substances etc, and what was the differences between the old Castrol RS up till' todays newest version of Supercar oil. It's film strength is more than double of the second best oil, Mobil 1, and a really extremely good oil. Btw. They recommend that you change the oil every 10.000 km or once per year, what ever comes first. NEVER EVER long life oil. I've seen enough expensive audis inside to see what sludge that creates. NEVER!

IMO any oil that meets the required spec will be fine. Its not regularly changing the oil and oil filter that ruins engines. For me its been 6K miles.

I have used castrol c1 for last 3 changes and have since brought 20 litre drum for £109 which will last for 3 years. This makes oil costs just over £36 per change which im happy with.

You may consider any of the following ones. They all should provide excellent protection and performance for your FL2's engine.

It's still the same old price off the S+A website but you need to pay £6.95 postage |

It's always as far back as I can remember with all engine oils that if you buy one twenty litre pack its around the same price as three five litre packs, regardless of the make.

Sods law that after using only a bit of the 20L you change the vehicle for whatever reason and the replacement uses a different spec oil. Jules |
