Brother bought some off Ebay for £12. Seem to be OK - for now, and he's had them fitted for about 15 months.

Have bought from SGS for previous car. But this time bought some cheap ones in Australia for the boot.

I bought some FeBi Bilstein struts for my tailgate a year ago, and they're still as strong as ever even after a year of Australian sun. They weren't expensive then but shipping from Amazon Germany was, and I justified it as an experiment in importing - and being able to tell my mates I fitted Bilsteins to the Land Rover.

Bought a pair of Land Rover Freelander 2 Bonnet Gas Struts STABILUS 2x LR001773G off eBay in November 2021 - working perfectly.

Thanks for the replies. I've gone with the set from JGS4x4 for now - at that price they don't have to last forever! |

I've had aftermarket struts on hood and tailgate (bonnet and boot) for years now, they work fine. Don't recall the brand. |

For the engine compartment hatch I used the Stabilus which are the ones originally fitted on the Freelander 2.
