Brake Pads (Possibly discs too)

Recommendations for (2013 EPB) brake pads please? Hitherto, I have always fitted 'genuine' LR pads and discs but the rears seem to take a serious beating….

I am not far away from changing my wheels from summer to winter with its year 10 service and MoT test shortly thereafter so a good time to check and change brake parts as necessary.

No such thing as genuine Land Rover brake components. Land Rover take components from manufacturers that meet their specifications, put them in a box with a Land Rover badge on and give them a Land Rover part number.

When I changed my rear discs, sourced from Matford LR in Exeter, Land Rover stamp on the edge of the discs next to the manufacturers name of Brembo.

Disc and rotors are one of the few things on this car which I'll go with non-OEM.

As others said, OEM brake parts are just marked-up, rebranded third-party. You can adjust your brake component cost and performance to suit yourself by using reputable after-market.

I consider dust, wear, cost, pedal feel and in my case towing performance.

Cheers chaps…

Just bought TRW discs & pads (rear only) from Autodoc - £110.46 inc vat.

It is in my mind that the existing pads - 'genuine LR' - are TRW pads with a Land Rover badge stamped on them.

I have recently been putting together parts for MY14 Fl2 which included these below.

I have purchased quite a few items from this seller and always been pleased with the products.

Years ago I converted my 3 series BMW estate to M3 suspension. I used "genuine" parts - they were all new TRW parts - the BMW logo had been ground off. Jules

I've just bought, Brembo, rear pads £26 on eBay. They did get good reviews, time will tell.
