What is this?

I had a new clutch/flywheel fitted last week. I got home from work last night (25 miles on A roads so the car was nice and warmed up) but when I reversed on the drive there was a cloud of smoke on the passenger side front illuminated in the headlamp. It could have just been dust kicked up from the drive but I’d thought I’d investigate. There was a patch of grease that had dripped from the linkages onto the clutch and had boiled. Apart from that there was just the usual messy intercooler pipe near the turbo on the other side so that may have been it and just blown through the engine bay.

I did find this:

This is looking down between the bonnet and the air filter box. I’m assuming it’s just a test point, release cable or fluid nipple? It’s not joined to anything at the nipple. There is a small weep of oil on the end but nothing too bad. As the car is only just back from the garage I just wanted to make sure that it shouldn’t be joined to anything?

Thanks in advance! I’m a bit new to this Landrover lark and my experience so far has been a bit anxiety inducing but I’ll stick with it!

My 13 year old came back from school and said it’s for bleeding the clutch.

Probably correct as the clutch slave cylinder is within the bell housing. Got to get the air out somehow!
