You can't run 235 & 265 /65 R17 tyres unless you are on Gibb River Road! (even then I have never seen such poor remote holiday planning)

There's no such tyre as a 66% profile tyre. The standard 17" size is 235/65/r17. Ideally you should fit 4 identical tyres, or at the very least fit tyres in pairs of the same size and pattern. It's very bad practice to have different mixes of tyres on an AWD vehicle, as when the Haldex locks up, all those tyres will be wanting to rotate at different speeds, which will load up the drive line far more that it was designed to take. Sorry everyone i've confused this.. I have three 235/65/17 and one 235/66/17 My questions is about the haldex fuse. I can remove it and safely take it for a test drive to see if the noise stops? Thanks for you time. |

I have a set of 16" hankook dynapro tyres on mine. They make a dreadful noise. If I change to the original 18" wheels with landsail tyres ......silence.
