Welcome. I don't have a warranty and not used one of these companies. What is important is what is covered and what is excluded and considered 'wear and tear'. There can be quite a few things that they don't cover.

I was given a free 6 month warranty by my car sales establishment (although they have since ceased trading from that location). My clutch burnt out the other day so I told my local garage I would try and put it through the warranty just in case it was caused by something other than âwear and tearâ. I told them my warranty company was AutoProtect. They said that they had blacked them as they never paid. They also said a few other garages they knew also had problems with them. Might be worth asking your preferred repairer who they would recommend. |

Itâs highly unlikely that you will ever find a reputable company offering a warranty that has any reasonable chance of paying out on a 12 year old car with over 100,000 miles.

Thank you for the replies, having read reviews of the likes of motoreasy I have concluded that as John E. suggests better to just save the monthly premium of a warranty then pay for one that is very unlikely to pay out using any excuse they can find. |
