Drivers door rubber stopper

Hope description is right.. Managed to knock the wee rubber bung off the bottom of the door.
For the life of me I can’t get it back on. Any suggestions or tips.
Just b annoying. To me if it’s part of the car it should be fitted.

It should have a pointy bit (highly technical description!) on it which just pushes into the hole in the door...

They were only fitted to earlier cars, my 2009 had them, as I had to replace one, but my 2011 does not. No holes in the doors.

I fitted a replacement one and used washing up liquid as a lubricant.

Neil, yes wee pointy bit, just cannot get the lip into the hole.

Sadler, should have thoughts of that myself, getting old.
