Wimbledon men's final

What a match Shocked

Amazing effort by Alcaraz and Djokovic, one of the closest finals for years. It feels like the passing of the torch to the next generation and Alcaraz is just superb and naturally gifted.

A great tournament and congratulations Carlos Alcaraz Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Welcome back Doc you've been missed, seems it's a case of the King is dead, long live the King, the moment Djokovic lost the second set, the writing was on the wall, going to a fifth was never in his interest my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Cheers Thumbs Up Been so busy working overtime to pay for my wedding to SWMBO next June that I've lost touch with forums.

Good point there. I think Alcaraz in the first set may just have been a bit nervous because once he settled in, he was immense. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Sorry to be negative..but if you’re already referring to your fiancé as SWMBO, perhaps you ought to rethink next June?

Has Wimbledon finished at last? And can we have something worth watching back on the telly now?

PS: each to his own, glad some enjoyed it but it is not for me.

Tour de France live on ITV for me - those guys go faster uphill than I go downhill

The other day a spectator, taking a selfie, caused a 20 bike crash - never a dull moment Laughing Jules

It was always Gentlemen's Final until it went professional then it became men's final, now it seems professional players are now gentlemen, as opposed to just amateur players who were gentlemen. It's Wimbledon you know no riff raff with Pimms and strawberries with cream. Back in the day the ladies were always addressed as Miss or Mrs then surname, as far as I remember the men were always addressed by their surnames with no title. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
