Yes, almost certainly a scam. There are a lot on facebook. I suspect if you look around you will see the same car sold in different locations. There is another one that is bright blue for similar silly money.

On this one it has the garage logo in the pictures, exept the advert shows it is woking but the dealer is in cornwall.

I suspect the scam is to get your interested, ask for a deposit to hold it then disappear but I could be wrong. FL2 2007 2.2d Auto SE. Baltic Blue.

In our current society it seems that fraud or attempted fraud has become a 'respectable crime'. Every online marketplace I am aware of is littered with bogus sales of used motor vehicles for many thousands of pounds, the worst thing that appears to happen to the fraudsters is the adverts are removed after being reported.
Our local newspaper publishes long lists of magistrates court convictions - many motoring offenses, shoplifting, assault etc but I cannot recall seeing any convictions on the lists for online or telephone fraud.

I read about this Brego Advert Checker in Autocar.

It seems it scans the car ads for other cars and compares prices and then advises if it thinks it is a scam.

The eBay listing no longer exists.
That may tell you something. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

So the crime of attempted fraud has gone away - case closed? I am sure that if the crime was attempted bank or ATM robbery it would not be closed.
