Amazing stuff. All the work designing & getting the production line to work, it's hard to get one's head around. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I new an engineer who was part of a team, responsible for setting up production lines at Nissan. Just to get the working principle on the bench they used to make a rough mockup using Lego Technic.

I recently went on the Factory Tour at Solihull. Absolutely astonished at all the robots building Range Rovers. Could have watched all day. JLR still employ 6000 people at Solihull.

I wonder how many they have to make to get everything lined up properly and all of the welds in the right place etc? There is a lot to be said for not buying an early model of any car. My 14 plate FL2 is certainly the best one that I have owned. Pity you can't buy new ones .
