Portugal 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tonga Green
Computer Error

I have a FR2 since Jan, with 11500 Km...
Today, I have a computer error for a short period: Transmition fail traction reduce.
I made 300 m and the error is gone...

Why it's happening?

I hope it'll be a small problem.

Quite a few members have also expereinced this probelm, normally the trip computer will also reset to zero. I think the latest software updates seems to fix it.

Friday I''ll do the software update... I hope it'll be fix it...

In the last 3 days, I do +/- 11 Km and the error apears: Transmition fault traction reduced.
However, during the rest of day, the error don't apears anymore...

I don't understand...

And neither do Land Rover, apparently. I`ve had the software update and have still had numerous fail to starts on the button and one trip reset. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

So much for this fault being isolated to the early production cars, "and is now sorted".....just more verbal garnish from the Land Rover dealers and boffins who ain't got a clue why the fault is there.

Do anybody with auto boxes have this problem as it seems to be only the manuals suffering ??????

Had the software update done today, it must have knocked out the entire power supply doing it because I had to completely retune the radio, and the remote central locking wasn't normal until it had a run. I did check with the spare fob as well when I got home and that was fine. Keep fingers crossed now.
