Davanti Tyres, although they are made in Britain, it is quite hard to find a retailer.

The other positive about alloy wheel ‘take offs’ is they usually have OEM Landrover top spec tyres. |

Thanks, I wonder how many road accidents are caused by budget tyres and how much is hype. There is an awful lot of cars and hgv running around on budget tyres like double coin or landsail |

I’d think that almost any price new tyre with sufficient tread would be better than even an expensive brand tyre that has been kept on the road for too long! |

I’m getting close to needing a full set on mine and if I’ve still got it when I replace them it will be getting budgets on it . It’s nearly 15 years old and I only potter about in it ,tyre technology has moved on massively and all tyres have to meet certain standards now, if I had a high performance sports car and drove round like Lewis Hamilton would go high end but if you shop around you can find budgets with good wet ratings .. |

You’re sounding like a right dare devil, I bet you drink coffee from a cup that doesn’t have a warning on it , saying that this coffee may be hot. Haha. Yes I am on your line of thought too. |

Worst tyres I ever had on the FL2 were the Avon ZX7 - utter garbage. Currently on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 for summer and a set of Nankang SV-2 winter tyres . Very pleased with the Goodyears and the Nankangs have been are outstanding in terms of price, wear and grip.

From comments on this forum generally, it would seem that new tyres are always quieter than the worn ones they replace. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Yes, would be logical as worn tyres have lost vibration absorbing rubber.

My employer has always fitted mid to budget tyres to my company van and to be honest I’ve not noticed much difference in the last 10 years between any tyre that has been fitted.
