Freelander 2 Off Road Group At Binegar Quarry

Hello again everyone

On the 27th of May the Freelander 2 Off Road Group had their annual meet up at 4x4 Day's site in Binegar Quarry. For anyone that knows of the company 4x4 days, they host pay and play days which used to be at the Aldwick Estate but has since moved to their new site in Binegar Quarry. Me and Alana were there to enjoy the day as well as 8 other Freelander 2's.

While Alana was out driving, I was on camera duties and put together some videos for everyone to enjoy.

If there is enough interest within the group then maybe Joel might be tempted to put on another one before the years out.

Another video went live yesterday from the quarry. This is one of my personal favourites because as much as exterior shots are visually much nicer, it's nice to show anyone that doesn't own a 4x4 and/or hasn't been off-roading what can and cannot be seen. Also credit to Alana in entertaining my idea of wearing the GoPro while she took a quick tour around the site.

Feel free to also have a good laugh at my many concentration faces that I pull as have a quick drive.

Another couple of videos have been released. Firstly, can you winch a Freelander 2 with another Freelander 2 up a steepish hill?

This one, although short is one of my favourites from the series. Although it comes across as an "arty farty" type of video, I made because the geeky side of me loves seeing the terrain response on these Freelanders at work and I could watch this type of footage all day.

You can see how the terrain response system is moving the power from front to back depending on where it's being needed most. Something you don't normally see when watching footage at full speed.

Nice. I also like the slow mo terrain response stuff. It gives a very good view of how the stuff works. FL2 2007 2.2d Auto SE. Baltic Blue.
