New battery (AGM)
New starter motor Denso(OEM)
Checked and replaced every fuse
Checked for voltage drop between sm and battery, also switch wire

Picked up the mrs from work, pulled away clutch pedal sticks about ¾ way down, could only drive about 10 mph, pulled up at traffic lights, engine cuts out with stop start system and wont restart, luckily, only 300 yards from home RAC towed me home as he couldn’t sort it.

Clutch fine now and gears as far as I can test it with no engine start!

Forward a couple of days : call out mobile mechanic 1 ; “it's your starter motor”
I replace starter motor : lo and behold still just ‘click- click’
I call out mobile mechanic 2 : “ your starter motor is not turning it must be faulty out of the box”

Got a brand new aftermarket exchange one fitted that and still the same!

I'm good with the tools, and have a bit of electrical knowledge as I have maintained my cars for 20yrs…….

Further thoughts clutch switch maybe gone

I have a gap IID tool that is not communicating with some of the modules on the car, I will list some of the faults below:

Have you tried the main cables to the starter motor, positive and earth return. Also the main fuse. The factory fitted cable is rated just enough for the starter motor, think it's 170 amp. I replaced mine with 220 amp positive and earth, made a big difference. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.
