How to remove a stuck front driveshaft

How to remove the front driveshaft. Has anyone encountered the driveshaft being stuck into the wheel bearing housing?

I have used Plusgas, heat, Plusgas then heat and many taps with a punch (well a socket and extension bar) but it doesn't want to move. I have also tried a bearing puller in the hope that the bolt going down the middle would push the driveshaft out but to no avail.

One side popped straight out but the other is stuck solid.

You mean into the hub splines?
A soft faced hammer will normally get them free, make sure you use soft brass drift to prevent damage.
I normally start off with a smaller hammer, and escalate with larger hammers if needed.
Be aware that if you need exceptional violence to get it out, then the wheel bearing will also need replacing, as the races will be damaged by the impacts if they are high. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Yes out of the splines. I've left it overnight with more Plusgas so hopefully it will move with a bit of heat. I've been using a 16oz hammer but no joy.

If you do manage to get the shaft out it most likely will have twisted splines and not be of any use.

Thanks for your reply I am coming to the conclusion today that I will need a new driveshaft. I already had a new knuckle waiting to be fitted as the wheel bearing went on the opposite side not long ago. I really don't like messing about with the driveshaft too having had a problem with the one on the other side.

Does anyone know who manufacturers the front right drive shaft?

It has GKN Driveline inboard spider joints, so it can be assumed that the whole shaft is a GKN product. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
