One thing to check is if the car has to be moving to get the vibration.

I had the exact same thing…shudder at 1800rpm which cleared after around 2100/2200rpm.

Jimbowats describes it very well in his post last year, including the reason why the vibration occurs at this engine speed.

It should be done and in the system now. I will also say that I had a full service on the car last August, including a gearbox flush. It started juddering after this. |

Hi Simon, really sorry but I did mean torque converter, no idea why I wrote transfer box, maybe it's linked to auto correct on my phone! Doh! I have amended my original post now, thanks. |

Do you know what fluid was used, I have seen a few reports of some garages putting an ordinary, wrong auto box fluid in. You could check to make sure the fluid level is correct. Be sure to carry out the correct procedure with the car level, Auto box up to 60c temperature and engine running. If you don't have a code reader to give you the correct gearbox fluid temperature you won't be far out if you do it when the engine temp gauge has just reached normal. |
