I've only ever seen Land Rover marked Pilkington screens fitted to my LRs and I've had about 20 over the years. All the other windows on my 2009MY TD4 SE are marked with the Land Rover marking, it's only the windscreen which is Fuyao. Also the date code is showing as September 2005, which is 3 years earlier than the car was manufactured. Yet the LR marked screen on my 2006MY i6 was manufactured in August 2006, which would be about right for the age of the vehicle. I'm thinking my SE was fitted with a screen which sat in a warehouse for some time before it was fitted to my car, either as a replacement, or maybe on the production line? Unfortunately with a date code older than the vehicle, it's impossible to tell when the screen was actually fitted. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver. 1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project. |
