Key fob battery low warning after battery replacement

Key fob battery low warning light came on , replaced battery and still same, checked new battery with voltmeter (old one in depths of bin) and showing as 3v so good to go . Put it back in fob and now all fine and no warning light. Is this likely to be a fob issue if it crops up again in near future or vehicle issue ?

With your model because you do not insert the fob it is not charged up so you will have to replace the battery every so often, I find with mine about every 18 months but it depends on your usage. If you do have two keys remember to switch between the them. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone

I have a suspicion that the FL2 sometimes 'remembers' faults.
Normally clears with a cycle or two of - fully double lock, leave a few minutes, then open and start -

Don't know why, most likely needs to reset electronics. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

I did have a fob that was flattening batteries within 2 weeks. Went through about half dozen batteries. LR replaced the electronics (was still within warranty).

It seems to be 2.97 to 3.0 volts & you get the battery replacement warning. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
