Get the VIN, phone any LR parts department, give them the VIN and tell them you need a belt or chain, they should be able to at least provide those details. Do you know what engine type is in it?

If it’s a 2.2 diesel , it’s a PSA derived diesel and it’s a belt . Service life 7 - 10 years depending on model year . If it’s a six cylinder petrol engine , it’s a Volvo , with a timing chain . No service interval as such but all chains can stretch with high mileage . As the Freelander two was designed and built in Ford’s ownership , they used common parts from worldwide Ford companies in Ford , Volvo , LR etc . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

It doesn't need to go to a LR franchise. Any competent garage can fix it. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I have the 2.0L Ford ecoboost petrol engine (not actually economical in the city). It always goes to my own mechanic. Not that he has had to do much as its been very reliable. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
