(May be) Confirmed reluctant sale, thank you Mr Khan

As it says on the tin, we could well be selling our much loved 2013 HSE SD4, just over 94k miles. All the usual stuff - leather seats (well I believe that’s what LR call it) sunroof, heated seats and steering wheel, full-sized spare (which I may sell separately if there’s interest if I’m going down the p/ex route) Has been regularly serviced by a respected LR Indy since we bought it in October 2017; one previous owner. Wondered if there may be any interest on here before going down the p/ex route.
Car is in SE London - presently just outside ULEZ but likely to be swallowed up in August Sad
Perhaps pm

I would like to upgrade my car. Bought around 3 years ago. When I went to look at it, the vendor put a price on the car, he wasn't fishing.
I was under the impression that the for sale ads had to be approved via the mods??????
Perhaps you are special Sid, you seem to live in a parallel universe where the rules do not apply to you.
Ring any bells ...........

What’s your problem? Had it been an immediate For Sale post, it would have been posted as such. Was initially trying to gauge interest from forum members before deciding the route to moving it on.
As for being special, thank you indeed, that’s what happens when you living in a parallel universe obviously

Listing all the options and " perhaps pm ", do you really expect me to believe that's not an advert ....... Or do you work in no 10 ? I suggest that the mods delete this post.

I think you're being a bit harsh here, coming across as a personal attack on Sid, intended or otherwise. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Thanks Bob, but not sure I’m bothered any more. There’s been a couple of very abusive remarks aimed towards me in the past which had to be removed due to their nature. If having a go makes Grimdog happy, so be it.

WBAC seem to be giving good prices lately, they are quoting £13k+ for my Metro.
Good luck finding an EV equivalent to FL2, anything approaching size seems very expensive.
Volvo XC40 (EV) appears to have a similar high, comfy, driving position?

PS - I have been looking at other forums for ideas on next car,
Lately the Volvo VC60 T8 Ultimate has been taking my interest --

(you can see that the ICE v EV wars exist on other forums as well!) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Thanks Ian - be careful that Grimdog doesn’t construe that as a For Sale posting Wink
I’d got a figure from WBAC, which was a little up on their figure a few months back. Interestingly Autotrader gave a figure about 20% higher ‘if you advertise with us’?? There was a lot on there yesterday, 2013 plates up to as much as £14k
Still not 100% sure where we’re going with ours, possibly Skoda, so interested to see what they’d offer by way of p/ex. That’d be the easiest route, save all the messing about and any potential comebacks but at the risk of taking a lower price. Decisions . . .

Autotrader for my Metro shows £12300 part exchange and £14040 private sale.
Similar Metro on sale at £15700.

As far as selling, after past bad experiences selling to private people, I now prefer to sell to professionals directly.
That is Trade In, WBAC or local small garages.

As far as high EV/PHEV prices go this is an example, lovely car, terrible price.

Sid if it's the Octavia This passed under my eye. I know it's for a particular purpose but still interesting.

Deed has been done, picking up new car tomorrow, sadly p/ex Freelander. In normal circumstances I’d be over the moon at getting a new motor but it’s all a bit muted given the circumstances behind the sale. Censored Khan
Will be tidying up a small box of Freebie bits I seem to have accumulated - few bulbs, forum sticker - and will update the post accordingly if anyone here can make use of them, subject to Grimdogs approval Wink
