Throttle Body issues after changing it

Hi All

I've just bought myself a none runner HSE from Copart to do up and use as a dive wagon. She's in good nick but needs a few things sorting on here.

First up the code scan gives me
P02E1 - Diesel intake air flow control - Performance
P02E8 - Diesel intake air flow sensor - Circuit Low
P02E9 - Diesel intake air flow sensor - Circuit high

This was as I bought it so I whipped the old throttle body off. The gears were fine but the electronics part of it was filled with oil so I bought a replacement. Upon putting it on and clearing and re-scanning the codes have not gone away.

If I listen next to the throttle body with the ignition in position 1 then there's a constant electrical buzzing sound coming from it. So I got out the multi meter and checked the voltage across (what I think are the power wires according to the manual) and the voltage is fluctuating from about +3v to -.5v. I could be doing the wrong wires here so any advice would be amazing.

So has anyone come across these codes beforehand can anyone give me any guidance to fixing the problem?
Does any one know for sure which wires are which? (I have the manual and have attached a screen shot of the page I think it is).

Please help me get this beast back on the road Smile

TIA

Jools

Have you tried cleaning the ( I think there are two) sensors, with electrical contact cleaner

Cleaning the sensors is next on the list. Also swapping the battery too as this one only outputs something in the range of 11-12. So I'll swap in the battery from my other car tomorrow and give both of those a go.

You might want to clean the MAF at the same time. If you clean all three at the same time and have a fix because of it, which one was causing the problem.

You need to use special MAF sensor cleaner as you risk damaging the the sensitive filament. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Will try this too and see if I can do some diagnostic tests rather than just chucking cash at it and buying new stuff
