Losing coolant

Dear all,

My FL2 is leaking coolant, I realised this could be due to a few different reasons but I wanted to ask others in case there is a common problem and signpost where to check first. The last time I asked for help you guys were amazing.

Take the undertray off and have a look around underneath too.

AFAIK there is no common fault with the FL2 causing coolant leaks Jules

Mine is also loosing coolant, and the reservoir is pressurised too. I'm suspecting an issue with my head gasket, at least I hope it's the head gasket, and not a split in a cylinder liner. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Could be EGR cooler leak.
My previous Fl had a leak there - changed the car before doing anything about it.

I had a thermostat that developed a weep from a split line on the moulding on my previous FL2...

After taking the Landy to a local garage it seems the leak is coming from the EGR!!

The same happened to me when my fan module failed.
Make sure both fans start when you turn on the ac. If not, it means your fans, at least one of the two, do not work properly, which results in overheating and loss of coolant through expansion. In this case, leakage is hardly observable due to evaporation.

I was lucky enough to diagnose the problem in time and replaced the fan control module. Keep away from fake Chinese copies as they last a week or so. The bad news is, original fan module is not sold solo, and comes onboard the whole fan.
