Have you tried putting a charging lead between the battery and the starter motor |

I think its the clutch pedal switch that's why I was asking about the message on the dash the relay for the starter motor isn't being energised. |

If you can eliminate the clutch pedal switch as the cause then it could be a problem with the starter motor. Or more precisely the starter solenoid which is known to fail after a while. Can you here a faint "clicking" as you attempt to start??

Most diagnostic readers allow you to test live values of things like clutch pedal sensors. You'll be looking for a change of status when the pedal is pressed. No status change would suggest a faulty position sensor, or maybe wiring damage or a faulty plug. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. yes you are correct but when I depress the pedal I get a % figure from the clutch master linier switch, I get a top of clutch when the pedal press and the third on I get no change in either state I think this should be the bot clutch switch I believe you must have this one to be able to start it? |

The message should disapear when you press the clutch pedal so yes, it sounds like the switch is at fault. |
