Noticed this on mine a few weeks back, just a little rough at one point, not yet a razor sharp edge |

Not a handbrake switch - as mine's a lowly 2007 MY. But I did slice a finger on the silver dash vent levers after the "chrome" started to delaminate. Razor sharp ! |

I had this problem a little while ago. I peeled off all the loose material and covered it with some self adhesive chrome effect vinyl I had in the shed. Fiddly to do but looks OK I think. FYI the switch is made from a cream coloured plastic, not Black.

Try some carbon fibre "vinyl" wrap and use a blow dryer to shrink it on after install. |

And what's involved in removing the centre console to replace the switch. Very happy with my solution, and I doubt anyone would ever spot the difference. 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep
