heater / cabin fan blower making loud noise

Hi, I'm an existing user but I got a 500 HTML error when trying password reset.

I have a 2011 Freelander 2 and the cabin fan is making a really loud noise almost like its catching on something, and I think it's causing low power because my car almost stalls / feels really lumpy when the blower is on. Can anyone give me any tips please, for reseating or changing the fan?

Some of the symptoms are...

* If i'm stationary when the fan even on position 1 I hear a rumbling sound inside the cabin, and a clicking sound outside near the bonnet
*If im driving I dont hear it when I have revs
*If im driving I hear it when I dip the clutch when coming to a stop

The heater still gets hot but its a pain to use and I dont want it getting any worse.

Best Regards

It's a band-aid solution but it works! Re and re of the blower motor is a beast job.

Make sure it's not some odd bit of rubbish that has entered, not likely, but a cheap basic confirmation.

Take off the starter battery cover & look with a torch to see if the fan clear.

You might want to wipe out the area with a damp cloth while at it. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I can't see how fan performance has anything to do with stalling. They are 2 unrelated systems. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
