TPMS Wheel Sensors.

I have just changed my wheels from my normal 19" set to the winter 18" setup.
My Metropolis has TPMS fitted to the wheels, so I bought a set of Land Rover sensors and had them fitted to my 18" set last week.
I now get a message of TPMS error or similar come up on the dash - what do I need to do to get rid of this??
Is it needing a diagnostic reader to alter a setting ??
I look forward to your replies.

I just fitted a new TPMS sensor to my newly acquired spare wheel, placed on car and the system just accepted it after a few miles.

Mine was fine for a few miles - no warnings or anything untoward.
After 8 miles or so the warnings came on - firstly a flashing light with warning message, then a permanent light.
I've done a couple of hundred miles since Friday, and it's still throwing up the error.

Genuine LR sensors or sensors compatible with a LR.

I ask as I bought two different sets of TPS that were LR "compatible".
Neither worked. One set was instantly not recognised, the second set went FUBAR after several miles - not tens of miles.
LR genuine items from Maltings worked within 100yds.

Is mine the only 2014 car without TPMS?
I thought all cars from 2012 had to have it, but apparently not? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

In Australia TPMS is not required.

TPMS has well & truely paid for itself. In the outback we need 2 spare wheels. So the system would need to cope with a second spare, or what we do is use the external TPMS. The main disadvantage is they could be stolen. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Recently the TPMS on my Fiesta alerted me to a leak at the tyre /rim interface before I had noticed it. Pressure had dropped from 2.5 to 1.6 bar over a few days after having new tyres fitted .
The Fiesta system is better than that of the FL2 as you can see each tyre pressure as you drive if you want.
TPMS is a good thing IMO.

Having seen the state of tyre inflation on some cars , its clear people don't check them. Jules

Amazing how much tyre pressure changes due to ambient temperature & additionally radiation from the sun. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

TPMS has saved us 4 otherwise destroyed tyres. The leaks were slow caused by screws to we could monitor pressure till the end of the day. When camping then I would plug the tyres.

One feels extremely vulnerable in the outback with no spare tyre options. If you can avoid destroying a tyre that is an awful lot of peace of mind.

Before we had TPMS we have destroyed a few tyres in the outback & that still happened after physically checking tyres twice a day. About 15 minutes a day on my hands & knees.

Far easier to glance at the PSI for each tyre & it has an alarm.

They were genuine ones from Maltings. Still not working.
It takes 8 miles to flag up a problem, every time I drive it.
Might be worth having a look at my icarsoft to see if there’s any setting that needs tweaking?.

Mine doesn't have TPMS, not required in Brazil.

It's just a matter of buying the sensors and putting them in place or do I have to enable the TPMS using SDD or something? Freelander 2 2014 SD4 Automatic HSE Fuji White

If there's no TPMS fitted from the factory, then you'll need the TPMS module, all the wiring, the pick-ups in the wheel arch liners, and have the necessary coding done. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
