Agree with Jules, FixMyStreet is the only way to get the local authority to take any action. That said it usually amounts to a workman throwing some tarmac in the hole then patting it down with the back of the shovel. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

There was badly broken up speed pad along the road from my place, reported on fix my street about a month ago by someone that had apparently hit it and found he’d got a slow puncture as a result. Not surprised, it had all fallen away on one side, leaving a sheer edge about 8 ins high. Was finally repaired last week. |

We have back-roads that are getting to be a bit like this. My main worry is that it is becoming unsafe to drive through puddles/standing water as you never know what is below the surface. Apart from catching edges of tyres, I am beginning to be glad the FL2 has a decent wading depth. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |
