2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Orkney Grey

Must be my age!

With the recent cold weather i have had to resort to heated seats on and heated steering wheel
Last car (defender) never had such luxuries so i feel very spoilt and very special

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey

Use mine regularly in winter, a nice feature that I never had before, used to freeze my butt in my Discovery 2s non heated leather.
Still not got a heated steering wheel but don't know what I'm missing. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

And the winter pack that clears front and rear screens and side mirrors in the press of the one button

I can't quite believe I am saying this but - the heated steering wheel, seats, front and rear screens are now on my list of essentials.
Although I do remember that I have thought being warm in the car as important as I paid out an extra £18 on my first car in 1961 to have a built in heater. They were extras in those days. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Firenze Red

Have the winter pack on the FL2 but no heated steering wheel - thought that it didnt matter as I've never had one.

But our Fiesta ST has all the toys inc heated steering wheel and now I wish the FL2 had one too Jules

Well, I say all the toys, but it doesn't have heated washer jets or the electric hot air heater like the FL2. so there

I admit to being the age I look for less toys, more to go wrong and I forget they’re there or how to use them. Never even alter the radio station now, just on or off now.

+1 Same AM radio station, so on & off.

A bit like a washing machine, always use the same cycle. It is beside the point that it has a cycle for every colour known to mankind.

I did add some actual useful gadgets to the car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Defender 90 300 TDi.

I wonder apart from when someone first gets a washing machine and are playing with all the buttons, how many people actually use all the settings. I can see the appeal of toys if doing a lot of miles a year , but we didn’t quite do 7000 miles last year and can’t see us doing more then that this year.
