Realise that it is an old thread, but green light car care in Thornleigh has a good reputation especially with Defenders. I took my Disco 2 there and he fixed some issues that evaded me. Haven't used him for my Freelander yet. |

I just picked up a MY14 FL2 a few days ago and looking for a mechanic as well. I found this place not too far away from me, I thought I might try them out. https://graemecooper.com.au

The best place I've found after owning a Landy for 3 and a half years is GDL Automotive. They have locations in Warriewood and Hornsby. They have been able to fix any gremlin-type issues that I've thrown at them for very reasonable prices. One of these issues was a troublesome haldex and diff (Freelander 2) which were fixed without breaking the bank. |

I'll keep that in mind if I am up that end of town.. being near Randwick, its a rather lengthy drive to get things sorted, but I can't rule anything out I guess.

I end up going to RoverX based in Arncliffe Sydney. Very happy with their work, I won't be going anywhere else. |

Thanks for the tip re RoverX. I actually live in Arncliffe, didn't know about them. Graeme Cooper has been around since forever, but very busy. My normal mechanic (HiTech, Mascot) has been great but getting busier all the time, which has advantages and disadvantages. MY11 SD4 SE Auto |

They were mobile until recently, but they got themselves a workshop and it only takes a couple of days to get your car serviced. You can even take a short stroll and get one of Sydney's best kebabs while you wait.. happy days. |

Thanks for the lead, I had the Inspection 1 service done by RoverX yesterday. Seems good, time will tell. Was especially happy to chat with Paul when I dropped off the car. Seemed a fair price, although including the air filter should be an every 12 month job. Will be happy to go back. As he is still building the business and it's January I got a service the day after I rang. MY11 SD4 SE Auto |
