Thanks Arctic, the starter contacts i changed myself about a year and half ago. TBH if it was them that was the fault, then i assume we would still get dash lights (ignition etc), but when we press the start button, nothing happens, no ignition lights etc. but when we press it a few times then it kicks into life, ignition lights come on and press the button again with foot on brake to start, and hey presto all good, but last few times we had problems turning the vehicle off, need to keep pressing button a few times. i have ordered a new button from Landrover. so its due on Wednesday this week, i will change and report back. |

Thanks both, of course i googled it, and it came up with a few but i thought i would go with LR direct and thats the order i made, but as you have seen its not in stock but thats the first company i tried tbh.

Thanks Colin, i will do if Rimmer Bros fail on the order, i scoured every LR dealer here in Wales with no luck, i spoke to a dealership in North wales who said "its a write of mate, those switches are no longer being made, so tell your insurance" i fell of the chair lol |

Looks like there were 3 different part numbers dependant on vin as below.

Hi Andy, thanks for that, i have ordered the correct switch but also looking at your list there, is the LR039740 a superceeded one maybe? |

Hi Arctic, they are both out of stock, this was the company i made the first order with, the order went through and 2 days later they sent me a message to say i have been refunded as the switches are out of stock, so oredered another one from Rimmer Bros, just awaiting delivery....thank you for your help |
