Hi all,
My wife came off duty tonight started the Freelander and as she pulled away there was a crashing noise
she had a quick look around the car but couldn't see anything untoward so she started off and she could hear a knocking noise so as she had to drive home she took it very slowly, there were no warning lights on the screen, when she arrived home I went with her for a short drive and it sounds like the prop shaft or uj's knocking, I will check things out in the morning so as this is the first four wheel drive vehicle we have had any helpful advice will be very much appreciated.

Pull the fuse for the active coupling and drive it again.
If the noise has gone, then there's an issue with part of the AWD system. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Thanks Nodge for the info,wasn't sure where the fuse was to pull out so we took the car to our local indy landie and yes, you are correct the problem is with the front transfer box apparantly the crash sound was the bearing housing with the gearing has snapped, so it looks as though that's where it will be going in the near future depending on there work load.
