Odd jolt. From gearbox?

2010HSE auto.
Twice in last two days I have had a heavy jolt while travelling.
Each time on motorway at reasonable speed..app 45/50.
Just a sudden jolt, no messages no drop in revs.
Got my local garage to put it through there diagnostic equipment.
No faults showing ,except stop/start which the car does not have.
Felt to me like gearbox, but driving steady and not changing gears.
Any ideas? Jim A

As above, crankshaft sensor is the most likely cause.
Mine so has an occasional jolt, like one cylinder doesn't fire, but mine is probably an injector, which I'll get round to identifying at some point.
Definitely crankshaft sensor first though, and make sure you only use an original or OE replacement. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Have ordered new sensor today from Taggarts landrover.
£126. inc vat. Plenty out there from good suppliers from about £20.
Anyway, have gone to LR.
Thought about a cheapy just to eliminate problem but decided to bite the bullet and go LR. Jim A

Good decision Thumbs Up I once bought an all makes CPS for my TD5 and good grief it was worse than the dying original. Returned and bought a LR item. Been fixed ever since. Like I said good choice Thumbs Up

New sensor fitted on Thursday. Today first chance for a run.
25 miles of single carriageway roads in the country, plenty of hills etc.
Never missed a beat.
Thanks to all for the help. Will do a motorway run next week.
Curious though, on another post the ford part number was given.
Anybody used a ford sensor as about half to third of LR price. Jim A

I used a Febi Bilstein sensor last time, which is what is in the LR box, but it only costs £25. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

Did a run on the motorway today of approx. 25 miles round trip.
Car running great. Feel as if it is running better but that just might be wishfull thinking. Jim A

The the ECM has been getting guttering speed signals, then once they're correct again it's entirely possible the engine runs better. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
