mirror back

Hello, after meeting with another car down the lane I seem to have broken my mirror, the glass shattered and the back went flying...never to be seen again.....The mirror housing is fine all still works, got a new glass but I cant seem to find the clip on back cover, I've seen lots of covers that fit over the back, but its the back I need.
Any ideas?? Do I have to buy a complete mirror just for the back???
Its an 2011 HSE auto
Any Help will be greatly appreciated mike

Thanks Jules. Sense the forum has become a little ‘nasty’ lately, following last weeks vile, racist remarks towards me, perhaps it’s time to bow out altogether.

Really? On the strength of a halfwit keyboard warrior's childishly dribbling (and since deleted) post? Can't say I've noticed 'nastiness' creeping in across the site - still the same generally helpful and informative site it has always been.

No need to leave because of a few idiots. This forum is great. As our cars get older and costs get higher we need all the help and encouragement we can get. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

The forum is mostly full of nice people who try to be helpful and constructive.

Breakers would be best bet.
I had autoglass break my mirror when replacing my windscreen, they paid for a replacement from landrover which cost over £400 and that was only for a black plastic GS version. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Agree - This forum is quite benign compared to some others I frequent (beekeepingforum.co.uk and cyclinguk.org). So please stay. Jules
