Scotland 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Lack of revs

Hi all
2.2 d 2008 HSE fl2 116k
Driving today and car starts to almost misfire won't rev above 1700 rpm just about get 30mph out it her got her home and no codes. Ticks over ok still driving just.
If I boot it black smoke out back then clears but still lack of power.
Revs seam to go up an down struggles to chang gear do to not revving.
Any ideas where to start

had almost the same thing a couple of years ago on my 09 plate turned out to be MAF sensor hope this helps . 2009 FL2 S now gone

I guess turbo boost pipes, I had it with same symptoms, I change all of them as it doesn’t always throw up codes. If they haven’t been changed almost certainly that .
