Well guys - a red letter day. After 13 years of FL2 ownership, including 8 years with the present one, I am moving on. I moved to the FL2 for it’s capability as a tow car for our caravan. For which I cannot fault them.

TBH Mark, the Freel2 Forum is the easiest to navigate and populated by some very helpful guys. I have now returned to the VW Audi forum - a nightmare to navigate and so many posts with queries not answered at all!

Problem with some forums for hi end cars is that their 'owners' have them on pcp and have no need (or ability) to open the bonnet except maybe to add screen wash. There is no technical information to help hands on owners and queries about such things are met with 'take it to a dealer' replies.

Sorry to hear your sad loss. I am in a similar position now retired what was my daily driver to work is now redundant and sitting in the garage not being used as I generally walk to the shops and most other places, so reluctantly will have to think about moving on also though the RFL is not so bad on a TD4 but cannot think what to replace my FL2 with??? 2013 FL2 XS.

Am in a similar situation , not through lack of use but the very real prospect of ULEZ being expanded in August next year; certainly not going to pay Khan £12.50 every day I move it

Our fl2 is £360 a year, but we only tax it for 8 months to make the numbers add up. We don’t caravan in the winter |

Hi all I changed to a VW Touran 7 seater 2.0tdi some 15 months ago, whilst I enjoyed the FL2 it was starting to get expensive at 7 years old. The VW is £165 road tax and over the last 12 months has averaged 58.7 mpg or £0.1455 pence per mile mostly mixed driving which when you do a lot of miles make a difference to the overall running costs. I do all my own servicing and repairs so I can't comment on service costs other than to the parts are less than FL2. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. |

Good choice with the A3 . When I was working I had about every make of car you could imagine as company vehicles . Audi were the top of the tree for being well screwed together . Always had the best seats as well .
